Lash LaRue Comic Book

Can anyone remember a late 1940s or very early 1950s Lash LaRue comic book in which Lash and his friends were in peril from a lighted stick of dynamite that was in an oil lantern? From across the room, he lashed out that bullwhip, the tip of which went into the top opening of the lantern (about 2.5" across), wrapped around the wick and extinguished the flame. No lie. I was born in 1943, and even being a very young child, I thought it was ridiculous, although I loved Lash in the movies. I haven't ever forgotten it!
