How Fuzzy Got His Name

Fred Scott was set to play a singing cowboy in a series of films for Spectrum Pictures in 1936 with Fuzzy Knight as his sidekick. Fuzzy Knight backed out just before filming started and they replaced him with Al St. John, but they didn't change the name of the sidekick which was "Fuzzy" in the script. The name stuck and he went by Al "Fuzzy" St. John after that.
