Chuck Connors as a sport figure

Before he became an actor, he was a baseball player signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers in the early years of the 1940s. He also served in the Army during World War II. Kevin Joseph Aloysius Connors was traded to the Chicago Cubs and sent down to the cubs minor league team the Los Angeles Angels in the Pacific Coast League. Because of his size (6'5")and his good looks, he was spotted by a Hollywood talent scout and given a few parts in movies. In 1958, Chuck became a television star as "Lucas McCain" in the ielevision series "The Rifleman". Inscribed in his headstone are logos of the Cubs, Dodgers and Celtics. Yes, he also played professional basketball with the Boston Celtics.
