A family show.

Bonanza was a must see show in my household. It was a role model for kids growing up in the era. Although his sons were adults, their respect for their father Ben was a beautiful thing to watch. It was very interesting the way Hoss and Little Joe also showed some respect for their older brother Adam. Watching Bonanza with my wife and kids was to me some kind of relaxation after a hard days work.

The mystery NEW
by: Anonymous

Pernell Roberts (Adam) was in the first six seasons of Bonanza, the episodes featuring young Jamie Cartwright were much later in the Bonanza run. I think He was in it from season 12 to 14.

Lost episode of Bonanza NEW
by: Susan

Over the summer Encore started showing "The Lost Episodes" of Bonanza. I was sure I had seen every episode until them. In my area it airs from 7:05-8:00p.m.

Recently the Bonanza episodes start and end with a completely different theme song and feature a young boy/teen named Jamie who the Cartrights have adopted. Also, Adam is not present in any of these episodes, only Hoss, Little Joe and of course Ben.

I'm wondering if these episodes where filmed before or after the original Bonanza series as I have known them all these years? Also, the introductions of the actors is very differnt in these episodes.

Can anybody help me with this mystery?
