A bit of nostalgia
by Roy M. DeBlieux
My twin brother and I are 67 years old, he looks it...I don't!. We were born and raised in Natchitoches, LA. The movie Horse Soldiers with John Wayne, William Holden & Constance Towers and the movie Steel Magnolia was filmed in my home town. In the early 1950's we would go to the Cane theater in my town and watch the matinee every Saturday. We loved the serials they would show prior to the movie. One of them, of many, was Lash LaRue. I was blown away by his ability to pop that long whip as he did. I was glad as a very young boy that Dad didn't have that skill...not good. Sorry for being so verbose. Thank you, Roy M. DeBlieux
